Does anyone on here still hate Nigel Owens?

When he blew for that penalty at the end, I would quite happily have given him a hand job.

N.B.
That's a HAND job, not a blow job.

I'm not fucking GAY!!

Re: England v Australia
Could be the best game of the lot this one, very fiery. Especially is the Ozzie's come out completely pumped right up.

If not and England dominate up front early, I can see us running away with it

Re: England v Australia
You mean in all those other series in the Antipodes when England were 2-0 up in a 3 match series?

Ilford Hammer 12:54 Thu Jun 23
Re: England v Australia
Real statement of intent there from Jones. In days gone by, with a series won, England would have made half a dozen changes to give other players a run out and we probably would end up getting beaten easily.

Only one enforced change made which will hopefully see us stuff them again and walk away 3-0 winners.

Hey, if you're happy with a tenuous link like an English-born father who moved to NZ when he was 8 or 9, then I am TM.

English Dad, what is the problem?

Teimana Harrison?

Good, solid English name that.

May is by far our best winger, looking forward to him coming back. Watson is great with the ball in hand, but needs to work harder for the ball

Re: England v Australia
player ratings for Saturday from the Rugby Blog website........................

15. Mike Brown: 6.5
An improvement on last weekend (he even passed at one stage!) with ball in hand, and his defence was much better too.

14. Anthony Watson: 6
Another quiet game for Watson, who has had an under the radar tour playing in a side that has had so little ball. One burst in the first half gave us a glimpse of the threat he poses.

13. Jonathan Joseph: 6
Made his tackles in midfield but like most of this backline, saw very little ball.

12. Owen Farrell: 8
Nerveless from the tee once again, and bristled with physicality in the midfield. He is the defensive leader of this backline and his efforts were rewarded late on with a superbly taken try.

11. Jack Nowell: 7
Such a busy player. Even in a game in which England had 29% possession, he frequently cut off his wing to try to get himself on the ball. As with everyone else, strong in defence.

10. George Ford: 8
Was clearly targeted by Australia’s big runners but he stood tall and made his tackles. His tactical kicking in the second half was a joy to behold, playing the pitch and the conditions to perfection.

9. Ben Youngs: 6.5
Box kicking was mostly good. Passed the ball on 98 fewer occasions than his opposite number – another great stat from this game.

1. Mako Vunipola: 9
The man was everywhere. On a night when the scrums were sapped by the turf, Vunipola’s work-rate to finish with 19 tackles was one of the highest on the pitch. His best game in an England shirt.

2. Dylan Hartley: 8
There were a couple of lineout issues, but in general Hartley led the defensive charge from the front.

3. Dan Cole: 8
Backed up last weekend’s performance with another selected from his top drawer. Made fewer tackles than his counterparts but how often was he over the ball at the ruck, slowing it down for the Wallabies?

4. Maro Itoje: 8
25 games started this season, 25 games won for Itoje. An amazing stat, and no coincidence – the young Saracen is unbelievably athletic. His tally of 21 tackles was the second highest on the pitch.

5. George Kruis: 6.5
A quieter game for Kruis – perhaps the lineout wobbles affected his confidence in open play.

6. Chris Robshaw: 9
His best performance in an England shirt? Quite possibly. A proper nuisance at the breakdown, with a couple of jackals to his name, and one superb kick relieved pressure on the English line. His rebirth since the World Cup has been nothing short of incredible.

7. James Haskell: 8.5
Great to see Haskell backing up one excellent performance with another. Made more tackles than anyone else with 23, and was his general physical self once again.

8. Billy Vunipola: 8.5
With 20 tackles he was amongst England’s top defenders, but he also somehow managed to generate 51 metres from just seven carries. Back to his powerful best.

Replacements: 8
Courtney Lawes’ galloping break and Jamie George’s gorgeous grubber kick set up Farrell for the try that put the game beyond doubt. None of the other subs had long enough to make any great impact, although Paul Hill and Matt Mullan forced a late scrum penalty that rubbed salt into Wallaby wounds

yes, that was brilliant when he tried to get Farrell in trouble and the ref and video ref said he was wrong

The best bit about the game on Saturday for me was that biased cunt Nigel Owens making a complete cunt of himself.

Well, I for one won't be discussing that shithouse kids game on a rugby thread again after this post.

If aliens came down and saw everyone playing rugby or league, they're think twice about invading.

If they came down and saw everyone playing AFL, they'd send their womenfolk down to take us over, while they did more important stuff, like the lawns, or painting their fences.

Re: England v Australia
Port Adelaide is the only interstate club (ie outside Victoria) that joined the AFL from being an established club rather than being started from scratch or transplanting a Melbourne club.
The club was established in 1870.
Many of the clubs are older than English football clubs

Takashi Miike 11:57 Sun Jun 19
Re: England v Australia
when i worked in the City of London I had a good aussie mate who was a big fan of Port Adelaide

Sven Roeder 11:53 Sun Jun 19
Re: England v Australia
Does Melbourne still have a rugby league team?
They won the league by cheating financially at one point didn't they?

Sven Roeder 11:47 Sun Jun 19
Re: England v Australia
How many league fans are there in Melbourne compared to AFL?
It's an AFL city. It's THE AFL city
I understand rugby fans don't like AFL.
Again , I don't give a shit. Nobody cares

Jonah was complaining that there wasn't enough tackling in AFL compared to Rugby union. He is right. Rugby union is about big men bashing into each other. Its personal preference as to what you find more interesting as a sport.
